India’s maiden launch of eco-friendly automotive manufacturing facility with SRAM & MRAM Group & CSEPEL Holding NYRT, Hungary

SRAM & MRAM Group has signed an agreement with the Himachal Pradesh Government for setting up a manufacturing unit for EV Buses in association with CSEPEL Holdings NYRT, Hungary. This event marks the first of its kind e-vehicle manufacturing division in India,  standing proof of the steady and fast development of the nation’s technology aligned with eco-friendly principles.

The duly signatories of the MOU Agreement were the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Jay Ram Thakur and SRAM & MRAM Director Mr. Shailesh Vats. The historic event took place In presence of Hon. Prime Minister during Investors meet at Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh. SRAM & MRAM Group, a UK based MNC, has signed and exchanged the MOU for launching e-buses, assemble/manufacturing in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

CSEPEL Holding Nyrt, Hungary, is bringing in the necessary investments required viz. human, financial and technical resources to setup the assembling unit. SRAM & MRAM Group Chairman Dr. Sailesh Lachu Hiranandani along with Vice-Chairman of the consortium Mr. Kalaichelvan, a veteran in the field of automotive ancillaries and owner of multiple IPR’s in the fields of automotive motors have come together in this association with Mr. Harpreet Bhakshi, Managing Director, ELPRO. The trio has pledged comprehensive resources required for the R&D, financial, human and technical for the next 10 years to ensure the success of this project.

Mr. Shailesh Vats, Director of SRAM & MRAM Group, met the press members after the MOU signing to share his views of corporates foraying into the EV transport market, developing affordable technologies for all countries and their respective economies helping the local population with employment opportunities and better economic progress.
